Julie also manages community-wide holiday programming and family offerings\, including Tu B’Shvat Seder\, Sukkot on the Farm\, Adamah Adventures Family Series\, and monthly Walking Toward Shabbat gatherings.\nJulie was an integral part of the inaugural Hazon Detroit team (Adamah is the merger between Hazon and Pearlstone Retreat Center)\, supporting the Detroit Hub launch in 2015. Our downstream and upstream paddle will be through shallow water and is perfect for seasoned kayakers and new paddlers alike. \nEach tandem kayak holds two paddling participants – perfect for a parent/child pair! This program is developed for children 5-12\, though younger and older siblings are welcome based on the family’s comfort and experience with paddling. Canoes are also available to accommodate the needs of different families. \nRegister Here! \n \n \n \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nCanoes are suitable for 2 adults or 1 adult and 1 child who can paddle\, with an additional 100lbs of coolers or kids in the middle. If you are bringing young children who cannot paddle\, you will need two adults to paddle your canoe. If you have questions about how best to participate with your family – please reach out to the Adamah team and we’ll be happy to figure out the best fit with you!  \n\n\n\nWe will begin with a review of kayak and canoe safety\, enjoy paddling along the river\, dive into some open swim time and picnic lunch\, and then return back to our starting point. \n\n\n\nPlease bring any sunscreen\, water\, and lunch you need. Additional summer snacks will be provided!
