The Jewish Climate Leadership Coalition is a network of non-profit Jewish community organizations who recognize the urgency of climate change and commit to take action.
To learn more about your organization joining the Coalition, you are invited to take us up on a complimentary 1:1 information session.
The Road to Decarbonization: A Tiyul towards Net-Zero
Action items that you can bring back to your organization include:
- Electrify: inventory where you/your organizations are using fossil fuels. This basic information is the first step to getting off fossil fuels.
- Energy Efficiency: Did you know that LEDs are up to 90% more efficient than typical incandescent bulbs? LED bulbs also last significantly longer, saving money as well as energy!
- Food Served: Lean into plant-based foods, without eliminating options. Have meat at the end of the buffet or have meat as the opt-in, rather than default, for meals chosen ahead of time.
- Food Wasted: implement food-waste reducing tips that encourage people to take what theyβll eat (and not more), such as offering smaller plates for buffets.
- Education & Nature Connection: Set aside a specific time of year or holiday (such as Tu BβShvat) to annually focus on climate education and/or nature connection with your community.

Jewish community organizations who recognize the urgency of climate change are committed to taking action.
Wherever you are on your climate action journey β we provide community, gentle accountability, and resources to support meaningful climate action.
