Sundays on the Farm | Barnyard Bash at Pearlstone

Celebrate our farm and all it provides! This exciting event will feature our annual sheep shearing demonstration, along with hands-on workshops where you can learn to work with wool. Bring your friends, family, and a picnic lunch for a delightful afternoon in the Pearlstone pasture. Enjoy kid’s crafts, field games, pickling, and walking tours of our beautiful campus and more. There’s something for everyone, so don’t miss out on the fun!

Join Adamah on Sunday May 4 from 11 a.m. - 3 p.m., at the Chevrei Tzedek Environmental Fair, with guest speakers, vendors promoting solar, composting and recycling, vegan food and children’s activities. There will be door prizes and drawings.

Way of the Wilderness | Advanced Survival: Bow Drill Fire and Cordage

Pearlstone Retreat Center & Campus 5425 Mt. Gilead Rd, Reisterstown, MD

Make your own bow drill fire kit and hopefully make a fire with it. (This is making fire by rubbing two sticks together.) See other types of fire by friction. Learn to make cordage (two ply rope) out of natural materials. This is a fun crafting and hang out class while learning two important skills.

Adventure Overnight Camp | Advanced Skills

Pearlstone Retreat Center & Campus 5425 Mt. Gilead Rd, Reisterstown, MD

Advanced Skills is for rising 8th-12th graders who are passionate and focused, and interested in making and learning to use high-quality tools (this year’s tracks: Bow/Arrow + Knife-Making OR Wilderness Survival). This camp has a focus on building independence, so campers sleep in their own tents in the Wilderness Village and help prepare many of their meals.
